Brian & Aileen: engaged

L O V E

our theme carried through the whole engagement shoot for Brian and Aileen.

We started at the Allen Centennial Gardens in Madison on what started as a promising day – a little sun, almost a balmy 57˚, and hints of spring on the trees. Now, I had on several layers and was quite happy, but Aileen was ready to move on and out of her dress. “But it’s so pretty and vibrant” I pleaded, and blushing she obliged a ‘few more shots’. It was worth it, and I was swapping between my loving tilt-shift and my workhorse 50mm.

We then sampled downtown Madison. So much has been shot there by us and other photographers, so I always take the challenge of finding something new! This time it came in the form of the empty rooftop of a parking garage. The sun popped out at opportune times, gave great lighting through clouds at other times – it was really lovely.

We finished up with something elegant at Brocach‘s secret gem-of-a-room. Brian looked simply stately and Aileen was simply gorgeous – no denying it. Any guess as to when this couple is getting married? Should be an amazing wedding for you both in Miami!

My favorite is the close-up of Brian in the blue-plaid
shirt, his hand on the tree. The finger “love” picture just makes you happy. The formal one under their wedding date sign is cute! The ones with both of them smiling shows them as they truly are, a happy couple.
I love them all!
