Adalyn, day 10 Outdoor newborn session

I know I’ve posted this before but I still have to say it again- I LOVE outdoor newborn sessions.  I don’t know about some photographers but I get so claustrophobic shooting newborns indoors all winter that all I want to do when the weather turns nice is be outside!  Luckily- the little ones love that too- the combination of the sun and heat outside in the summer helps them relax and sleep so well.  I’m always on the lookout for great spots to shoot newborns outside- even if it means I have to drag 100 pounds of props with me- it’s so worth it!

Adalyn was a dream baby for shooting outside- after her mama fed her she was pretty much out like a light for the rest of our shoot.  I photographed her mom and dad’s wedding a little over a year ago and am so honored to be capturing their beautiful growing family now!

Sneak peek into our Mini Sessions

Since we are going to be opening up registration for our summer “beach” mini sessions tonight we thought we’d give you a peek into some of the fun we have with our mini sessions!  We put a lot of time and thought into planning each of our mini sessions, making each seasonal session fun and unique.  This past May our session theme was tea party/royalty and we had an absolute blast!  We planned a few different “areas” for shooting including a tea party set up (with fabulous rentals from A la Crate in Verona), a princess and the pea mattress setup, as well as a rustic backdrop for non themed portraits.  July’s session in going to be our first ever “beach” mini session- think vintage swim suits, sundresses, old wooden boats, reeds and sand!  We are so excited to doing something different!  Spots are going to be limited to due to sunset times so contact us for your spot asap!  Can’t wait to see you there!
